আয্-যুখরুফ (সোনাদানা)
بِسمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحمٰنِ الرَّحيمِ
শুরু করছি আল্লাহর নামে যিনি পরম করুণাময়, অতি দয়ালু
[1] حم
[1] হা-মীম।
[1] Hâ¬Mîm. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'ân, and none but Allâh (Alone) knows their meanings].
[2] وَالكِتٰبِ المُبينِ
[2] শপথ সুস্পষ্ট কিতাবের,
[2] By the manifest Book (i.e. this Qur'ân that makes things clear).
[3] إِنّا جَعَلنٰهُ قُرءٰنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَعَلَّكُم تَعقِلونَ
[3] আমি একে করেছি কোরআন, আরবী ভাষায়, যাতে তোমরা বুঝ।
[3] Verily, we have made it a Qur'ân in Arabic, that you may be able to understand (its meanings and its admonitions).
[4] وَإِنَّهُ فى أُمِّ الكِتٰبِ لَدَينا لَعَلِىٌّ حَكيمٌ
[4] নিশ্চয় এ কোরআন আমার কাছে সমুন্নত অটল রয়েছে লওহে মাহফুযে।
[4] And Verily, it (this Qur'ân) is in the Mother of the Book (i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfûz), with Us, indeed Exalted, full of Wisdom.
[5] أَفَنَضرِبُ عَنكُمُ الذِّكرَ صَفحًا أَن كُنتُم قَومًا مُسرِفينَ
[5] তোমরা সীমাতিক্রমকারী সম্প্রদায়-এ কারণে কি আমি তোমাদের কাছ থেকে কোরআন প্রত্যাহার করে নেব?
[5] Shall We then (warn you not and) take away the Reminder (this Qur'ân) from you, because you are a people Musrifûn.
[6] وَكَم أَرسَلنا مِن نَبِىٍّ فِى الأَوَّلينَ
[6] পূর্ববর্তী লোকদের কাছে আমি অনেক রসূলই প্রেরণ করেছি।
[6] And how many a Prophet have We sent amongst the men of old.
[7] وَما يَأتيهِم مِن نَبِىٍّ إِلّا كانوا بِهِ يَستَهزِءونَ
[7] যখনই তাদের কাছে কোন রসূল আগমন করেছেন, তখনই তারা তাঁর সাথে ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রুপ করেছে।
[7] And never came there a Prophet to them but they used to mock at him.
[8] فَأَهلَكنا أَشَدَّ مِنهُم بَطشًا وَمَضىٰ مَثَلُ الأَوَّلينَ
[8] সুতরাং আমি তাদের চেয়ে অধিক শক্তি সম্পন্নদেরকে ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছি। পূর্ববর্তীদের এ ঘটনা অতীত হয়ে গেছে।
[8] Then We destroyed men stronger (in power) than these,— and the example of the ancients has passed away (before them)
[9] وَلَئِن سَأَلتَهُم مَن خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضَ لَيَقولُنَّ خَلَقَهُنَّ العَزيزُ العَليمُ
[9] আপনি যদি তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞাসা করেন কে নভোমন্ডল ও ভূ-মন্ডল সৃষ্টি করেছে? তারা অবশ্যই বলবে, এগুলো সৃষ্টি করেছেন পরাক্রমশালী সর্বজ্ঞ আল্লাহ।
[9] And indeed if you ask them, "Who has created the heavens and the earth?" They will surely say: "The All-Mighty, the All-Knower created them."
[10] الَّذى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الأَرضَ مَهدًا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم فيها سُبُلًا لَعَلَّكُم تَهتَدونَ
[10] যিনি তোমাদের জন্যে পৃথিবীকে করেছেন বিছানা এবং তাতে তোমাদের জন্যে করেছেন পথ, যাতে তোমরা গন্তব্যস্থলে পৌঁছতে পার।
[10] Who has made for you the earth like a bed, and has made for you roads therein, in order that you may find your way,
[11] وَالَّذى نَزَّلَ مِنَ السَّماءِ ماءً بِقَدَرٍ فَأَنشَرنا بِهِ بَلدَةً مَيتًا ۚ كَذٰلِكَ تُخرَجونَ
[11] এবং যিনি আকাশ থেকে পানি বর্ষণ করেছেন পরিমিত। আতঃপর তদ্দ্বারা আমি মৃত ভূ-ভাগকে পুনরুজ্জীবিত করেছি। তোমরা এমনিভাবে উত্থিত হবে।
[11] And Who sends down water (rain) from the sky in due measure. then We revive a dead land therewith, and even so you will be brought forth (from the gaves),
[12] وَالَّذى خَلَقَ الأَزوٰجَ كُلَّها وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِنَ الفُلكِ وَالأَنعٰمِ ما تَركَبونَ
[12] এবং যিনি সবকিছুর যুগল সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং নৌকা ও চতুস্পদ জন্তুকে তোমাদের জন্যে যানবাহনে পরিণত করেছেন,
[12] And Who has created all the pairs and has appointed for you ships and cattle on which you ride;
[13] لِتَستَوۥا عَلىٰ ظُهورِهِ ثُمَّ تَذكُروا نِعمَةَ رَبِّكُم إِذَا استَوَيتُم عَلَيهِ وَتَقولوا سُبحٰنَ الَّذى سَخَّرَ لَنا هٰذا وَما كُنّا لَهُ مُقرِنينَ
[13] যাতে তোমরা তাদের পিঠের উপর আরোহণ কর। অতঃপর তোমাদের পালনকর্তার নেয়ামত স্মরণ কর এবং বল পবিত্র তিনি, যিনি এদেরকে আমাদের বশীভূত করে দিয়েছেন এবং আমরা এদেরকে বশীভূত করতে সক্ষম ছিলাম না।
[13] In order that you may mount on their backs, and then may remember the Favour of your Lord when you mount thereon, and say: "Glory to Him who has subjected this to us, and we could never have it (by our efforts)."
[14] وَإِنّا إِلىٰ رَبِّنا لَمُنقَلِبونَ
[14] আমরা অবশ্যই আমাদের পালনকর্তার দিকে ফিরে যাব।
[14] And verily, to Our Lord we indeed are to return!
[15] وَجَعَلوا لَهُ مِن عِبادِهِ جُزءًا ۚ إِنَّ الإِنسٰنَ لَكَفورٌ مُبينٌ
[15] তারা আল্লাহর বান্দাদের মধ্য থেকে আল্লাহর অংশ স্থির করেছে। বাস্তবিক মানুষ স্পষ্ট অকৃতজ্ঞ।
[15] Yet they assign to some of His slaves a share with Him (by pretending that He has children, and considering them as equals or co-partners in worship with Him). Verily, man is indeed a manifest ingrate!
[16] أَمِ اتَّخَذَ مِمّا يَخلُقُ بَناتٍ وَأَصفىٰكُم بِالبَنينَ
[16] তিনি কি তাঁর সৃষ্টি থেকে কন্যা সন্তান গ্রহণ করেছেন এবং তোমাদের জন্য মনোনীত করেছেন পুত্র সন্তান?
[16] Or has He taken daughters out of what He has created, and He has selected for you sons?
[17] وَإِذا بُشِّرَ أَحَدُهُم بِما ضَرَبَ لِلرَّحمٰنِ مَثَلًا ظَلَّ وَجهُهُ مُسوَدًّا وَهُوَ كَظيمٌ
[17] তারা রহমান আল্লাহর জন্যে যে, কন্যা-সন্তান বর্ণনা করে, যখন তাদের কাউকে তার সংবাদ দেয়া হয়, তখন তার মুখমন্ডল কালো হয়ে যায় এবং ভীষণ মনস্তাপ ভোগ করে।
[17] And if one of them is informed of the news of (the birth of a girl) that which he set forth as a parable to the Most Gracious (Allâh) (i.e. of a girl), his face becomes dark, gloomy, and he is filled with grief!
[18] أَوَمَن يُنَشَّؤُا۟ فِى الحِليَةِ وَهُوَ فِى الخِصامِ غَيرُ مُبينٍ
[18] তারা কি এমন ব্যক্তিকে আল্লাহর জন্যে বর্ণনা করে, যে অলংকারে লালিত-পালিত হয় এবং বিতর্কে কথা বলতে অক্ষম।
[18] (Like they then for Allâh) a creature who is brought up in adornments (wearing silk and gold ornaments, i.e. women), and who in dispute cannot make herself clear?
[19] وَجَعَلُوا المَلٰئِكَةَ الَّذينَ هُم عِبٰدُ الرَّحمٰنِ إِنٰثًا ۚ أَشَهِدوا خَلقَهُم ۚ سَتُكتَبُ شَهٰدَتُهُم وَيُسـَٔلونَ
[19] তারা নারী স্থির করে ফেরেশতাগণকে, যারা আল্লাহর বান্দা। তারা কি তাদের সৃষ্টি প্রত্যক্ষ করেছে? এখন তাদের দাবী লিপিবদ্ধ করা হবে এবং তাদের জিজ্ঞাসা করা হবে।
[19] And they make the angels who themselves are slaves of the Most Gracious (Allâh) females. Did they witness their creation? Their testimony will be recorded, and they will be questioned!
[20] وَقالوا لَو شاءَ الرَّحمٰنُ ما عَبَدنٰهُم ۗ ما لَهُم بِذٰلِكَ مِن عِلمٍ ۖ إِن هُم إِلّا يَخرُصونَ
[20] তারা বলে, রহমান আল্লাহ ইচছা না করলে আমরা ওদের পূজা করতাম না। এ বিষয়ে তারা কিছুই জানে না। তারা কেবল অনুমানে কথা বলে।
[20] And they said: "If it had been the Will of the Most Gracious (Allâh), we should not have worshipped them (false deities)." They have no knowledge whatsoever of that. They do nothing but lie!
[21] أَم ءاتَينٰهُم كِتٰبًا مِن قَبلِهِ فَهُم بِهِ مُستَمسِكونَ
[21] আমি কি তাদেরকে কোরআনের পূর্বে কোন কিতাব দিয়েছি, অতঃপর তারা তাকে আঁকড়ে রেখেছে?
[21] Or have We given them any Book before this (the Qur'ân), to which they are holding fast?
[22] بَل قالوا إِنّا وَجَدنا ءاباءَنا عَلىٰ أُمَّةٍ وَإِنّا عَلىٰ ءاثٰرِهِم مُهتَدونَ
[22] বরং তারা বলে, আমরা আমাদের পূর্বপুরুষদেরকে পেয়েছি এক পথের পথিক এবং আমরা তাদেরই পদাংক অনুসরণ করে পথপ্রাপ্ত।
[22] Nay! They say: "We found our fathers following a certain way and religion, and we guide ourselves by their footsteps."
[23] وَكَذٰلِكَ ما أَرسَلنا مِن قَبلِكَ فى قَريَةٍ مِن نَذيرٍ إِلّا قالَ مُترَفوها إِنّا وَجَدنا ءاباءَنا عَلىٰ أُمَّةٍ وَإِنّا عَلىٰ ءاثٰرِهِم مُقتَدونَ
[23] এমনিভাবে আপনার পূর্বে আমি যখন কোন জনপদে কোন সতর্ককারী প্রেরণ করেছি, তখনই তাদের বিত্তশালীরা বলেছে, আমরা আমাদের পূর্বপুরুষদেরকে পেয়েছি এক পথের পথিক এবং আমরা তাদেরই পদাংক অনুসরণ করে চলছি।
[23] And similarly, We sent not a warner before you (O Muhammad SAW) to any town (people) but the luxurious ones among them said: "We found our fathers following a certain way and religion, and we will indeed follow their footsteps."
[24] ۞ قٰلَ أَوَلَو جِئتُكُم بِأَهدىٰ مِمّا وَجَدتُم عَلَيهِ ءاباءَكُم ۖ قالوا إِنّا بِما أُرسِلتُم بِهِ كٰفِرونَ
[24] সে বলত, তোমরা তোমাদের পূর্বপুরুষদেরকে যে বিষয়ের উপর পেয়েছ, আমি যদি তদপেক্ষা উত্তম বিষয় নিয়ে তোমাদের কাছে এসে থাকি, তবুও কি তোমরা তাই বলবে? তারা বলত তোমরা যে বিষয়সহ প্রেরিত হয়েছ, তা আমরা মানব না।
[24] (The warner) said: "Even if I bring you better guidance than that which you found your fathers following?" They said: "Verily, We disbelieve in that with which you have been sent."
[25] فَانتَقَمنا مِنهُم ۖ فَانظُر كَيفَ كانَ عٰقِبَةُ المُكَذِّبينَ
[25] অতঃপর আমি তাদের কাছ থেকে প্রতিশোধ নিয়েছি। অতএব দেখুন, মিথ্যারোপকারীদের পরিণাম কিরূপ হয়েছে।
[25] So We took revenge of them, then see what was the end of those who denied (Islâmic Monotheism).
[26] وَإِذ قالَ إِبرٰهيمُ لِأَبيهِ وَقَومِهِ إِنَّنى بَراءٌ مِمّا تَعبُدونَ
[26] যখন ইব্রাহীম তার পিতা ও সম্প্রদায়কে বলল, তোমরা যাদের পূজা কর, তাদের সাথে আমার কোন সম্পর্ক নেই।
[26] And (remember) when Ibrahîm (Abraham) said to his father and his people: "Verily, I am innocent of what you worship,
[27] إِلَّا الَّذى فَطَرَنى فَإِنَّهُ سَيَهدينِ
[27] তবে আমার সম্পর্ক তাঁর সাথে যিনি আমাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন। অতএব, তিনিই আমাকে সৎপথ প্রদর্শন করবেন।
[27] "Except Him (i.e. but Allâh Alone I worship none) Who did create me, and verily, He will guide me."
[28] وَجَعَلَها كَلِمَةً باقِيَةً فى عَقِبِهِ لَعَلَّهُم يَرجِعونَ
[28] এ কথাটিকে সে অক্ষয় বাণীরূপে তার সন্তানদের মধ্যে রেখে গেছে, যাতে তারা আল্লাহর দিকেই আকৃষ্ট থাকে।
[28] And he made it [i.e. Lâ ilâha ill-allâh (none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh Alone)] a Word lasting among his offspring, that they may turn back (i.e. to repent to Allâh or receive admonition).
[29] بَل مَتَّعتُ هٰؤُلاءِ وَءاباءَهُم حَتّىٰ جاءَهُمُ الحَقُّ وَرَسولٌ مُبينٌ
[29] পরন্ত আমিই এদেরকে ও এদের পূর্বপুরুষদেরকে জীবনোপভোগ করতে দিয়েছি, অবশেষে তাদের কাছে সত্য ও স্পষ্ট বর্ণনাকারী রসূল আগমন করেছে।
[29] Nay, but I gave (the good things of this life) to these (polytheists) and their fathers to enjoy, till there came to them the truth (the Qur'ân), and a Messenger (Muhammad SAW) making things clear.
[30] وَلَمّا جاءَهُمُ الحَقُّ قالوا هٰذا سِحرٌ وَإِنّا بِهِ كٰفِرونَ
[30] যখন সত্য তাদের কাছে আগমন করল, তখন তারা বলল, এটা যাদু, আমরা একে মানি না।
[30] And when the truth (this Qur'ân) came to them, they (the disbelievers in this Qur'ân) said: "This is magic, and we disbelieve therein."
[31] وَقالوا لَولا نُزِّلَ هٰذَا القُرءانُ عَلىٰ رَجُلٍ مِنَ القَريَتَينِ عَظيمٍ
[31] তারা বলে, কোরআন কেন দুই জনপদের কোন প্রধান ব্যক্তির উপর অবতীর্ণ হল না?
[31] And they say: "Why is not this Qur'ân sent down to some great man of the two towns (Makkah and Tâ'if)?"
[32] أَهُم يَقسِمونَ رَحمَتَ رَبِّكَ ۚ نَحنُ قَسَمنا بَينَهُم مَعيشَتَهُم فِى الحَيوٰةِ الدُّنيا ۚ وَرَفَعنا بَعضَهُم فَوقَ بَعضٍ دَرَجٰتٍ لِيَتَّخِذَ بَعضُهُم بَعضًا سُخرِيًّا ۗ وَرَحمَتُ رَبِّكَ خَيرٌ مِمّا يَجمَعونَ
[32] তারা কি আপনার পালনকর্তার রহমত বন্টন করে? আমি তাদের মধ্যে তাদের জীবিকা বন্টন করেছি পার্থিব জীবনে এবং একের মর্যাদাকে অপরের উপর উন্নীত করেছি, যাতে একে অপরকে সেবক রূপে গ্রহণ করে। তারা যা সঞ্চয় করে, আপনার পালনকর্তার রহমত তদপেক্ষা উত্তম।
[32] Is it they who would portion out the Mercy of your Lord? It is We Who portion out between them their livelihood in this world, and We raised some of them above others in ranks, so that some may employ others in their work. But the Mercy (Paradise) of your Lord (O Muhammad SAW) is better than the (wealth of this world) which they amass.
[33] وَلَولا أَن يَكونَ النّاسُ أُمَّةً وٰحِدَةً لَجَعَلنا لِمَن يَكفُرُ بِالرَّحمٰنِ لِبُيوتِهِم سُقُفًا مِن فِضَّةٍ وَمَعارِجَ عَلَيها يَظهَرونَ
[33] যদি সব মানুষের এক মতাবলম্বী হয়ে যাওয়ার আশংকা না থাকত, তবে যারা দয়াময় আল্লাহকে অস্বীকার করে আমি তাদেরকে দিতাম তাদের গৃহের জন্যে রৌপ্য নির্মিত ছাদ ও সিঁড়ি, যার উপর তারা চড়ত।
[33] And were it not that all mankind would have become of one community (all disbelievers, desiring worldly life only), We would have provided for those who disbelieve in the Most Gracious (Allâh), silver roofs for their houses, and elevators whereby they ascend,
[34] وَلِبُيوتِهِم أَبوٰبًا وَسُرُرًا عَلَيها يَتَّكِـٔونَ
[34] এবং তাদের গৃহের জন্যে দরজা দিতাম এবং পালংক দিতাম যাতে তারা হেলান দিয়ে বসত।
[34] And for their houses, doors (of silver), and thrones (of silver) on which they could recline,
[35] وَزُخرُفًا ۚ وَإِن كُلُّ ذٰلِكَ لَمّا مَتٰعُ الحَيوٰةِ الدُّنيا ۚ وَالءاخِرَةُ عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلمُتَّقينَ
[35] এবং স্বর্ণনির্মিতও দিতাম। এগুলো সবই তো পার্থিব জীবনের ভোগ সামগ্রী মাত্র। আর পরকাল আপনার পালনকর্তার কাছে তাঁদের জন্যেই যারা ভয় করে।
[35] And adornments of gold. Yet all this (i.e. the roofs, doors, stairs, elevators, thrones of their houses) would have been nothing but an enjoyment of this world. And the Hereafter with your Lord is (only) for the Muttaqûn.
[36] وَمَن يَعشُ عَن ذِكرِ الرَّحمٰنِ نُقَيِّض لَهُ شَيطٰنًا فَهُوَ لَهُ قَرينٌ
[36] যে ব্যক্তি দয়াময় আল্লাহর স্মরণ থেকে চোখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়, আমি তার জন্যে এক শয়তান নিয়োজিত করে দেই, অতঃপর সে-ই হয় তার সঙ্গী।
[36] And whosoever turns away blindly from the remembrance of the Most Gracious (Allâh) (i.e. this Qur'ân and worship of Allâh), We appoint for him Shaitân (Satan devil) to be a Qarîn (a intimate companion) to him.
[37] وَإِنَّهُم لَيَصُدّونَهُم عَنِ السَّبيلِ وَيَحسَبونَ أَنَّهُم مُهتَدونَ
[37] শয়তানরাই মানুষকে সৎপথে বাধা দান করে, আর মানুষ মনে করে যে, তারা সৎপথে রয়েছে।
[37] And verily, they (Satans / devils) hinder them from the Path (of Allâh), but they think that they are guided aright!
[38] حَتّىٰ إِذا جاءَنا قالَ يٰلَيتَ بَينى وَبَينَكَ بُعدَ المَشرِقَينِ فَبِئسَ القَرينُ
[38] অবশেষে যখন সে আমার কাছে আসবে, তখন সে শয়তানকে বলবে, হায়, আমার ও তোমার মধ্যে যদি পূর্ব-পশ্চিমের দূরত্ব থাকত। কত হীন সঙ্গী সে।
[38] Till, when (such a one) comes to Us, he says [to his Qarîn (Satan / devil companion)] "Would that between me and you were the distance of the two easts (or the east and west)" a worst (type of) companion (indeed)!
[39] وَلَن يَنفَعَكُمُ اليَومَ إِذ ظَلَمتُم أَنَّكُم فِى العَذابِ مُشتَرِكونَ
[39] তোমরা যখন কুফর করছিলে, তখন তোমাদের আজকের আযাবে শরীক হওয়া কোন কাজে আসবে না।
[39] It will profit you not this Day (O you who turn away from Allâh's remembrance and His worship) as you did wrong, (and) that you will be sharers (you and your Qarîn) in the punishment.
[40] أَفَأَنتَ تُسمِعُ الصُّمَّ أَو تَهدِى العُمىَ وَمَن كانَ فى ضَلٰلٍ مُبينٍ
[40] আপনি কি বধিরকে শোনাতে পারবেন? অথবা যে অন্ধ ও যে স্পষ্ট পথ ভ্রষ্টতায় লিপ্ত, তাকে পথ প্রদর্শণ করতে পারবেন?
[40] Can you (O Muhammad SAW) make the deaf to hear, or can you guide the blind or him who is in manifest error?
[41] فَإِمّا نَذهَبَنَّ بِكَ فَإِنّا مِنهُم مُنتَقِمونَ
[41] অতঃপর আমি যদি আপনাকে নিয়ে যাই, তবু আমি তাদের কাছে থেকে প্রতিশোধ নেব।
[41] And even if We take you (O Muhammad SAW) away, We shall indeed take vengeance on them.
[42] أَو نُرِيَنَّكَ الَّذى وَعَدنٰهُم فَإِنّا عَلَيهِم مُقتَدِرونَ
[42] অথবা যদি আমি তাদেরকে যে আযাবের ওয়াদা দিয়েছি, তা আপনাকে দেখিয়ে দেই, তবু তাদের উপর আমার পূর্ণ ক্ষমতা রয়েছে।
[42] Or (if) We show you that wherewith We threaten them, then verily, We have perfect command over them.
[43] فَاستَمسِك بِالَّذى أوحِىَ إِلَيكَ ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلىٰ صِرٰطٍ مُستَقيمٍ
[43] অতএব, আপনার প্রতি যে ওহী নাযিল করা হয়, তা দৃঢ়ভাবে অবলম্বন করুন। নিঃসন্দেহে আপনি সরল পথে রয়েছেন।
[43] So hold you (O Muhammad SAW) fast to that which is revealed to you. Verily you are on the Straight Path.
[44] وَإِنَّهُ لَذِكرٌ لَكَ وَلِقَومِكَ ۖ وَسَوفَ تُسـَٔلونَ
[44] এটা আপনার ও আপনার সম্প্রদায়ের জন্যে উল্লেখিত থাকবে এবং শীঘ্রই আপনারা জিজ্ঞাসিত হবেন।
[44] And verily, this (the Qur'ân) is indeed a Reminder for you (O Muhammad SAW) and your people (Quraish people, or your followers), and you will be questioned (about it).
[45] وَسـَٔل مَن أَرسَلنا مِن قَبلِكَ مِن رُسُلِنا أَجَعَلنا مِن دونِ الرَّحمٰنِ ءالِهَةً يُعبَدونَ
[45] আপনার পূর্বে আমি যেসব রসূল প্রেরণ করেছি, তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করুন, দয়াময় আল্লাহ ব্যতীত আমি কি কোন উপাস্য স্থির করেছিলাম এবাদতের জন্যে?
[45] And ask (O Muhammad SAW) those of Our Messengers whom We sent before you: "Did We ever appoint âlihah (gods) to be worshipped besides the Most Gracious (Allâh)?"
[46] وَلَقَد أَرسَلنا موسىٰ بِـٔايٰتِنا إِلىٰ فِرعَونَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِ فَقالَ إِنّى رَسولُ رَبِّ العٰلَمينَ
[46] আমি মূসাকে আমার নিদর্শনাবলী দিয়ে ফেরাউন ও তার পরিষদবর্গের কাছে প্রেরণ করেছিলাম, অতঃপর সে বলেছিল, আমি বিশ্ব পালনকর্তার রসূল।
[46] And indeed We did send Mûsa (Moses) with Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his chiefs (inviting them to Allâh's religion of Islâm) He said: "Verily, I am a Messenger of the Lord of the 'Alamîn (mankind, jinn and all that exists)."
[47] فَلَمّا جاءَهُم بِـٔايٰتِنا إِذا هُم مِنها يَضحَكونَ
[47] অতঃপর সে যখন তাদের কাছে আমার নিদর্শনাবলী উপস্থাপন করল, তখন তারা হাস্যবিদ্রুপ করতে লাগল।
[47] But when he came to them with Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations) behold, they laughed at them.
[48] وَما نُريهِم مِن ءايَةٍ إِلّا هِىَ أَكبَرُ مِن أُختِها ۖ وَأَخَذنٰهُم بِالعَذابِ لَعَلَّهُم يَرجِعونَ
[48] আমি তাদেরকে যে নিদর্শনই দেখাতাম, তাই হত পূর্ববর্তী নিদর্শন অপেক্ষা বৃহৎ এবং আমি তাদেরকে শাস্তি দ্বারা পাকড়াও করলাম, যাতে তারা ফিরে আসে।
[48] And not an Ayâh (sign, etc.) We showed them but it was greater than its fellow, and We seized them with torment, in order that they might turn [from their polytheism to Allâh's religion (Islâmic Monotheism)].
[49] وَقالوا يٰأَيُّهَ السّاحِرُ ادعُ لَنا رَبَّكَ بِما عَهِدَ عِندَكَ إِنَّنا لَمُهتَدونَ
[49] তারা বলল, হে যাদুকর, তুমি আমাদের জন্যে তোমার পালনকর্তার কাছে সে বিষয় প্রার্থনা কর, যার ওয়াদা তিনি তোমাকে দিয়েছেন; আমরা অবশ্যই সৎপথ অবলম্বন করব।
[49] And they said [to Mûsa (Moses)]: "O you sorcerer! Invoke your Lord for us according to what He has covenanted with you. Verily, We shall guide ourselves (aright)."
[50] فَلَمّا كَشَفنا عَنهُمُ العَذابَ إِذا هُم يَنكُثونَ
[50] অতঃপর যখন আমি তাদের থেকে আযাব প্রত্যাহার করে নিলাম, তখনই তারা অঙ্গীকার ভঙ্গ করতে লাগলো।
[50] But when We removed the torment from them, behold, they broke their covenant (that they will believe if We remove the torment from them).
[51] وَنادىٰ فِرعَونُ فى قَومِهِ قالَ يٰقَومِ أَلَيسَ لى مُلكُ مِصرَ وَهٰذِهِ الأَنهٰرُ تَجرى مِن تَحتى ۖ أَفَلا تُبصِرونَ
[51] ফেরাউন তার সম্প্রদায়কে ডেকে বলল, হে আমার কওম, আমি কি মিসরের অধিপতি নই? এই নদী গুলো আমার নিম্নদেশে প্রবাহিত হয়, তোমরা কি দেখ না?
[51] And Fir'aun (Pharaoh) proclaimed among his people, (saying:) "O my people! Is not mine the dominion of Egypt, and these rivers flowing underneath me. See you not then?
[52] أَم أَنا۠ خَيرٌ مِن هٰذَا الَّذى هُوَ مَهينٌ وَلا يَكادُ يُبينُ
[52] আমি যে শ্রেষ্ট এ ব্যক্তি থেকে, যে নীচ এবং কথা বলতেও সক্ষম নয়।
[52] "Am I not better than this one [Mûsa (Moses)], who is despicable] and can scarcely express himself clearly?
[53] فَلَولا أُلقِىَ عَلَيهِ أَسوِرَةٌ مِن ذَهَبٍ أَو جاءَ مَعَهُ المَلٰئِكَةُ مُقتَرِنينَ
[53] তাকে কেন স্বর্ণবলয় পরিধান করানো হল না, অথবা কেন আসল না তার সঙ্গে ফেরেশতাগণ দল বেঁধে?
[53] "Why then are not golden bracelets bestowed on him, or angels sent along with him?"
[54] فَاستَخَفَّ قَومَهُ فَأَطاعوهُ ۚ إِنَّهُم كانوا قَومًا فٰسِقينَ
[54] অতঃপর সে তার সম্প্রদায়কে বোকা বানিয়ে দিল, ফলে তারা তার কথা মেনে নিল। নিশ্চয় তারা ছিল পাপাচারী সম্প্রদায়।
[54] Thus he [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] befooled (and misled) his people, and they obeyed him. Verily, they were ever a people who were Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh).
[55] فَلَمّا ءاسَفونَا انتَقَمنا مِنهُم فَأَغرَقنٰهُم أَجمَعينَ
[55] অতঃপর যখন আমাকে রাগাম্বিত করল তখন আমি তাদের কাছ থেকে প্রতিশোধ নিলাম এবং নিমজ্জত করলাম। তাদের সবাইকে।
[55] So when they angered Us, We punished them, and drowned them all.
[56] فَجَعَلنٰهُم سَلَفًا وَمَثَلًا لِلءاخِرينَ
[56] অতঃপর আমি তাদেরকে করে দিলাম অতীত লোক ও দৃষ্টান্ত পরবর্তীদের জন্যে।
[56] And We made them a precedent (as a lesson for those coming after them), and an example to later generations.
[57] ۞ وَلَمّا ضُرِبَ ابنُ مَريَمَ مَثَلًا إِذا قَومُكَ مِنهُ يَصِدّونَ
[57] যখনই মরিয়ম তনয়ের দৃষ্টান্ত বর্ণনা করা হল, তখনই আপনার সম্প্রদায় হঞ্জগোল শুরু করে দিল
[57] And when the son of Maryam (Mary) is quoted as an example [i.e. 'Īsā (Jesus) is worshipped like their idols), behold! Your people cry aloud (laugh out at the example).
[58] وَقالوا ءَأٰلِهَتُنا خَيرٌ أَم هُوَ ۚ ما ضَرَبوهُ لَكَ إِلّا جَدَلًا ۚ بَل هُم قَومٌ خَصِمونَ
[58] এবং বলল, আমাদের উপাস্যরা শ্রেষ্ঠ, না সে? তারা আপনার সামনে যে উদাহরণ উপস্থাপন করে তা কেবল বিতর্কের জন্যেই করে। বস্তুতঃ তারা হল এক বিতর্ককারী সম্প্রদায়।
[58] And say: "Are our âlihah (gods) better or is he ['Īsā (Jesus)]?" They quoted not the above example except for argument. Nay! But they are a quarrelsome people. [(See VV. 21:97-101)]
[59] إِن هُوَ إِلّا عَبدٌ أَنعَمنا عَلَيهِ وَجَعَلنٰهُ مَثَلًا لِبَنى إِسرٰءيلَ
[59] সে তো এক বান্দাই বটে আমি তার প্রতি অনুগ্রহ করেছি এবং তাকে করেছি বণী-ইসরাঈলের জন্যে আদর্শ।
[59] He ['Īsā (Jesus)] was not more than a slave. We granted Our Favour to him, and We made him an example for the Children of Israel (i.e. his creation without a father).
[60] وَلَو نَشاءُ لَجَعَلنا مِنكُم مَلٰئِكَةً فِى الأَرضِ يَخلُفونَ
[60] আমি ইচ্ছা করলে তোমাদের থেকে ফেরেশতা সৃষ্টি করতাম, যারা পৃথিবীতে একের পর এক বসবাস করত।
[60] And if it were Our Will, We would have [destroyed you (mankind) all, and] made angels to replace you on the earth. [Tafsir At-Tabarî].
[61] وَإِنَّهُ لَعِلمٌ لِلسّاعَةِ فَلا تَمتَرُنَّ بِها وَاتَّبِعونِ ۚ هٰذا صِرٰطٌ مُستَقيمٌ
[61] সুতরাং তা হল কেয়ামতের নিদর্শন। কাজেই তোমরা কেয়ামতে সন্দেহ করো না এবং আমার কথা মান। এটা এক সরল পথ।
[61] And he ['Īsā (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)] shall be a known sign for (the coming of) the Hour (Day of Resurrection) [i.e. 'Īsā's (Jesus) descent on the earth] . Therefore have no doubt concerning it (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). And follow Me (Allâh) (i.e. be obedient to Allâh and do what He orders you to do, O mankind)! This is the Straight Path (of Islâmic Monotheism, leading to Allâh and to His Paradise).
[62] وَلا يَصُدَّنَّكُمُ الشَّيطٰنُ ۖ إِنَّهُ لَكُم عَدُوٌّ مُبينٌ
[62] শয়তান যেন তোমাদেরকে নিবৃত্ত না করে। সে তোমাদের প্রকাশ্য শুত্রু।
[62] And let not Shaitân (Satan) hinder you (from the right religion, i.e. Islâmic Monotheism), Verily, he (Satan) to you is a plain enemy.
[63] وَلَمّا جاءَ عيسىٰ بِالبَيِّنٰتِ قالَ قَد جِئتُكُم بِالحِكمَةِ وَلِأُبَيِّنَ لَكُم بَعضَ الَّذى تَختَلِفونَ فيهِ ۖ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطيعونِ
[63] ঈসা যখন স্পষ্ট নিদর্শনসহ আগমন করল, তখন বলল, আমি তোমাদের কাছে প্রজ্ঞা নিয়ে এসেছি এবং তোমরা যে, কোন কোন বিষয়ে মতভেদ করছ তা ব্যক্ত করার জন্যে এসেছি, অতএব, তোমরা আল্লাহকে ভয় কর এবং আমার কথা মান।
[63] And when 'Īsā (Jesus) came with (Our) clear Proofs, he said: "I have come to you with Al-Hikmah (Prophethood), and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) in which you differ, Therefore fear Allâh and obey me,
[64] إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ رَبّى وَرَبُّكُم فَاعبُدوهُ ۚ هٰذا صِرٰطٌ مُستَقيمٌ
[64] নিশ্চয় আল্লাহই আমার পালনকর্তা ও তোমাদের পালনকর্তা। অতএব, তাঁর এবাদত কর। এটা হল সরল পথ।
[64] "Verily, Allâh! He is my Lord (God) and your Lord (God). So worship Him (Alone). This is the (only) Straight Path (i.e. Allâh's religion of true Islâmic Monotheism)."
[65] فَاختَلَفَ الأَحزابُ مِن بَينِهِم ۖ فَوَيلٌ لِلَّذينَ ظَلَموا مِن عَذابِ يَومٍ أَليمٍ
[65] অতঃপর তাদের মধ্যে থেকে বিভিন্ন দল মতভেদ সৃষ্টি করল। সুতরাং যালেমদের জন্যে রয়েছে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক দিবসের আযাবের দুর্ভোগ।
[65] But the sects from among themselves differed. So woe to those who do wrong (by ascribing things to 'Īsā (Jesus) that are not true) from the torment of a painful Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)!
[66] هَل يَنظُرونَ إِلَّا السّاعَةَ أَن تَأتِيَهُم بَغتَةً وَهُم لا يَشعُرونَ
[66] তারা কেবল কেয়ামতেরই অপেক্ষা করছে যে, আকস্মিকভাবে তাদের কাছে এসে যাবে এবং তারা খবর ও রাখবে না।
[66] Do they only wait for the Hour that it shall come upon them suddenly, while they perceive not?
[67] الأَخِلّاءُ يَومَئِذٍ بَعضُهُم لِبَعضٍ عَدُوٌّ إِلَّا المُتَّقينَ
[67] বন্ধুবর্গ সেদিন একে অপরের শত্রু হবে, তবে খোদাভীরুরা নয়।
[67] Friends on that Day will be foes one to another except Al-Muttaqûn (pious - see V.2:2)
[68] يٰعِبادِ لا خَوفٌ عَلَيكُمُ اليَومَ وَلا أَنتُم تَحزَنونَ
[68] হে আমার বান্দাগণ, তোমাদের আজ কোন ভয় নেই এবং তোমরা দুঃখিতও হবে না।
[68] It will be said to the true believers of Islâmic Monotheism): My worshippers! No fear shall be on you this Day, nor shall you grieve,
[69] الَّذينَ ءامَنوا بِـٔايٰتِنا وَكانوا مُسلِمينَ
[69] তোমরা আমার আয়াতসমূহে বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছিলে এবং তোমরা আজ্ঞাবহ ছিলে।
[69] (You) who believed in Our Ayât (proofs, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and were Muslims (i.e. who submit totally to Allâh's Will, and believe in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism)
[70] ادخُلُوا الجَنَّةَ أَنتُم وَأَزوٰجُكُم تُحبَرونَ
[70] জান্নাতের প্রবেশ কর তোমরা এবং তোমাদের বিবিগণ সানন্দে।
[70] Enter Paradise, you and your wives, in happiness.
[71] يُطافُ عَلَيهِم بِصِحافٍ مِن ذَهَبٍ وَأَكوابٍ ۖ وَفيها ما تَشتَهيهِ الأَنفُسُ وَتَلَذُّ الأَعيُنُ ۖ وَأَنتُم فيها خٰلِدونَ
[71] তাদের কাছে পরিবেশন করা হবে স্বর্ণের থালা ও পানপাত্র এবং তথায় রয়েছে মনে যা চায় এবং নয়ন যাতে তৃপ্ত হয়। তোমরা তথায় চিরকাল অবস্থান করবে।
[71] Trays of gold and cups will be passed round them, (there will be) therein all that the inner-selves could desire, and all that the eyes could delight in, and you will abide therein forever.
[72] وَتِلكَ الجَنَّةُ الَّتى أورِثتُموها بِما كُنتُم تَعمَلونَ
[72] এই যে, জান্নাতের উত্তরাধিকারী তোমরা হয়েছ, এটা তোমাদের কর্মের ফল।
[72] This is the Paradise which you have been made to inherit because of your deeds which you used to do (in the life of the world).
[73] لَكُم فيها فٰكِهَةٌ كَثيرَةٌ مِنها تَأكُلونَ
[73] তথায় তোমাদের জন্যে আছে প্রচুর ফল-মূল, তা থেকে তোমরা আহার করবে।
[73] Therein for you will be fruits in plenty, of which you will eat (as you desire).
[74] إِنَّ المُجرِمينَ فى عَذابِ جَهَنَّمَ خٰلِدونَ
[74] নিশ্চয় অপরাধীরা জাহান্নামের আযাবে চিরকাল থাকবে।
[74] Verily, the Mujrimûn (criminals, sinners, disbelievers) will be in the torment of Hell to abide therein forever.
[75] لا يُفَتَّرُ عَنهُم وَهُم فيهِ مُبلِسونَ
[75] তাদের থেকে আযাব লাঘব করা হবে না এবং তারা তাতেই থাকবে হতাশ হয়ে।
[75] (The torment) will not be lightened for them, and they will be plunged into destruction with deep regrets, sorrows and in despair therein.
[76] وَما ظَلَمنٰهُم وَلٰكِن كانوا هُمُ الظّٰلِمينَ
[76] আমি তাদের প্রতি জুলুম করিনি; কিন্তু তারাই ছিল জালেম।
[76] We wronged them not, but they were the Zâlimûn (polytheists, wrong-doers).
[77] وَنادَوا يٰمٰلِكُ لِيَقضِ عَلَينا رَبُّكَ ۖ قالَ إِنَّكُم مٰكِثونَ
[77] তারা ডেকে বলবে, হে মালেক, পালনকর্তা আমাদের কিসসাই শেষ করে দিন। সে বলবে, নিশ্চয় তোমরা চিরকাল থাকবে।
[77] And they will cry: "O Malik (Keeper of Hell)! Let your Lord make an end of us." He will say: "Verily you shall abide forever."
[78] لَقَد جِئنٰكُم بِالحَقِّ وَلٰكِنَّ أَكثَرَكُم لِلحَقِّ كٰرِهونَ
[78] আমি তোমাদের কাছে সত্যধর্ম পৌঁছিয়েছি; কিন্তু তোমাদের অধিকাংশই সত্যধর্মে নিস্পৃহ!
[78] Indeed We have brought the truth (Muhammad SAW with the Qur'ân), to you, but most of you have a hatred for the truth.
[79] أَم أَبرَموا أَمرًا فَإِنّا مُبرِمونَ
[79] তারা কি কোন ব্যবস্থা চুড়ান্ত করেছে? তাহলে আমিও এক ব্যবস্থা চুড়ান্ত করেছি।
[79] Or have they plotted some plan? Then We too are planning.
[80] أَم يَحسَبونَ أَنّا لا نَسمَعُ سِرَّهُم وَنَجوىٰهُم ۚ بَلىٰ وَرُسُلُنا لَدَيهِم يَكتُبونَ
[80] তারা কি মনে করে যে, আমি তাদের গোপন বিষয় ও গোপন পরামর্শ শুনি না? হঁ্যা, শুনি। আমার ফেরেশতাগণ তাদের নিকটে থেকে লিপিবদ্ধ করে।
[80] Or do they think that We hear not their secrets and their private counsel? (Yes We do) and Our Messengers (appointed angels in charge of mankind) are by them, to record.
[81] قُل إِن كانَ لِلرَّحمٰنِ وَلَدٌ فَأَنا۠ أَوَّلُ العٰبِدينَ
[81] বলুন, দয়াময় আল্লাহর কোন সন্তান থাকলে আমি সর্ব প্রথম তার এবাদত করব।
[81] Say (O Muhammad SAW): "If the Most Gracious (Allâh) had a son (or children as you pretend), then I am the first of Allâh's worshippers [who deny and refute this claim of yours (and the first to believe in Allâh Alone and testify that He has no children)]." [Tafsir At-Tabarî].
[82] سُبحٰنَ رَبِّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضِ رَبِّ العَرشِ عَمّا يَصِفونَ
[82] তারা যা বর্ণনা করে, তা থেকে নভোমন্ডল ও ভূমন্ডলের পালনকর্তা, আরশের পালনকর্তা পবিত্র।
[82] Glorified is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord of the Throne! Exalted is He from all that they ascribe (to Him).
[83] فَذَرهُم يَخوضوا وَيَلعَبوا حَتّىٰ يُلٰقوا يَومَهُمُ الَّذى يوعَدونَ
[83] অতএব, তাদেরকে বাকচাতুরী ও ক্রীড়া-কৌতুক করতে দিন সেই দিবসের সাক্ষাত পর্যন্ত, যার ওয়াদা তাদেরকে দেয়া হয়।
[83] So leave them (alone) to speak nonsense and play until they meet the Day of theirs, which they have been promised.
[84] وَهُوَ الَّذى فِى السَّماءِ إِلٰهٌ وَفِى الأَرضِ إِلٰهٌ ۚ وَهُوَ الحَكيمُ العَليمُ
[84] তিনিই উপাস্য নভোমন্ডলে এবং তিনিই উপাস্য ভুমন্ডলে। তিনি প্রজ্ঞাময়, সর্বজ্ঞ,
[84] It is He (Allâh) Who is the only Ilâh (God to be worshipped) in the heaven and the only Ilâh (God to be worshipped) on the earth. And He is the All-Wise, the All-Knower.
[85] وَتَبارَكَ الَّذى لَهُ مُلكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضِ وَما بَينَهُما وَعِندَهُ عِلمُ السّاعَةِ وَإِلَيهِ تُرجَعونَ
[85] বরকতময় তিনিই, নভোমন্ডল, ভূমন্ডল ও এতদুভয়ের মধ্যবর্তী সবকিছু যার। তাঁরই কাছে আছে কেয়ামতের জ্ঞান এবং তাঁরই দিকে তোমরা প্রত্যাবর্তিত হবে।
[85] And Blessed is He to Whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, and with Whom is the knowledge of the Hour, and to Whom you (all) will be returned.
[86] وَلا يَملِكُ الَّذينَ يَدعونَ مِن دونِهِ الشَّفٰعَةَ إِلّا مَن شَهِدَ بِالحَقِّ وَهُم يَعلَمونَ
[86] তিনি ব্যতীত তারা যাদের পুজা করে, তারা সুপারিশের অধিকারী হবে না, তবে যারা সত্য স্বীকার করত ও বিশ্বাস করত।
[86] And those whom they invoke instead of Him have no power of intercession — except for those who bear witness to the truth knowingly (i.e. believed in the Oneness of Allâh, and obeyed His Orders), and they know (the facts about the Oneness of Allâh)
[87] وَلَئِن سَأَلتَهُم مَن خَلَقَهُم لَيَقولُنَّ اللَّهُ ۖ فَأَنّىٰ يُؤفَكونَ
[87] যদি আপনি তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞাসা করেন, কে তাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন, তবে অবশ্যই তারা বলবে, আল্লাহ, অতঃপর তারা কোথায় ফিরে যাচ্ছে ?
[87] And if you ask them who created them, they will surely say: "Allâh". How then are they turned away (from the worship of Allâh, Who created them)?
[88] وَقيلِهِ يٰرَبِّ إِنَّ هٰؤُلاءِ قَومٌ لا يُؤمِنونَ
[88] রসূলের এই উক্তির কসম, হে আমার পালনকর্তা, এ সম্প্রদায় তো বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে না।
[88] (And Allâh has knowledge) of (Prophet Muhammad's) saying: "O my Lord! Verily, these are a people who believe not!"
[1] حم
[1] হা-মীম।
[1] Hâ¬Mîm. [These letters are one of the miracles of the Qur'ân, and none but Allâh (Alone) knows their meanings].
[2] وَالكِتٰبِ المُبينِ
[2] শপথ সুস্পষ্ট কিতাবের,
[2] By the manifest Book (i.e. this Qur'ân that makes things clear).
[3] إِنّا جَعَلنٰهُ قُرءٰنًا عَرَبِيًّا لَعَلَّكُم تَعقِلونَ
[3] আমি একে করেছি কোরআন, আরবী ভাষায়, যাতে তোমরা বুঝ।
[3] Verily, we have made it a Qur'ân in Arabic, that you may be able to understand (its meanings and its admonitions).
[4] وَإِنَّهُ فى أُمِّ الكِتٰبِ لَدَينا لَعَلِىٌّ حَكيمٌ
[4] নিশ্চয় এ কোরআন আমার কাছে সমুন্নত অটল রয়েছে লওহে মাহফুযে।
[4] And Verily, it (this Qur'ân) is in the Mother of the Book (i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfûz), with Us, indeed Exalted, full of Wisdom.
[5] أَفَنَضرِبُ عَنكُمُ الذِّكرَ صَفحًا أَن كُنتُم قَومًا مُسرِفينَ
[5] তোমরা সীমাতিক্রমকারী সম্প্রদায়-এ কারণে কি আমি তোমাদের কাছ থেকে কোরআন প্রত্যাহার করে নেব?
[5] Shall We then (warn you not and) take away the Reminder (this Qur'ân) from you, because you are a people Musrifûn.
[6] وَكَم أَرسَلنا مِن نَبِىٍّ فِى الأَوَّلينَ
[6] পূর্ববর্তী লোকদের কাছে আমি অনেক রসূলই প্রেরণ করেছি।
[6] And how many a Prophet have We sent amongst the men of old.
[7] وَما يَأتيهِم مِن نَبِىٍّ إِلّا كانوا بِهِ يَستَهزِءونَ
[7] যখনই তাদের কাছে কোন রসূল আগমন করেছেন, তখনই তারা তাঁর সাথে ঠাট্টা-বিদ্রুপ করেছে।
[7] And never came there a Prophet to them but they used to mock at him.
[8] فَأَهلَكنا أَشَدَّ مِنهُم بَطشًا وَمَضىٰ مَثَلُ الأَوَّلينَ
[8] সুতরাং আমি তাদের চেয়ে অধিক শক্তি সম্পন্নদেরকে ধ্বংস করে দিয়েছি। পূর্ববর্তীদের এ ঘটনা অতীত হয়ে গেছে।
[8] Then We destroyed men stronger (in power) than these,— and the example of the ancients has passed away (before them)
[9] وَلَئِن سَأَلتَهُم مَن خَلَقَ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضَ لَيَقولُنَّ خَلَقَهُنَّ العَزيزُ العَليمُ
[9] আপনি যদি তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞাসা করেন কে নভোমন্ডল ও ভূ-মন্ডল সৃষ্টি করেছে? তারা অবশ্যই বলবে, এগুলো সৃষ্টি করেছেন পরাক্রমশালী সর্বজ্ঞ আল্লাহ।
[9] And indeed if you ask them, "Who has created the heavens and the earth?" They will surely say: "The All-Mighty, the All-Knower created them."
[10] الَّذى جَعَلَ لَكُمُ الأَرضَ مَهدًا وَجَعَلَ لَكُم فيها سُبُلًا لَعَلَّكُم تَهتَدونَ
[10] যিনি তোমাদের জন্যে পৃথিবীকে করেছেন বিছানা এবং তাতে তোমাদের জন্যে করেছেন পথ, যাতে তোমরা গন্তব্যস্থলে পৌঁছতে পার।
[10] Who has made for you the earth like a bed, and has made for you roads therein, in order that you may find your way,
[11] وَالَّذى نَزَّلَ مِنَ السَّماءِ ماءً بِقَدَرٍ فَأَنشَرنا بِهِ بَلدَةً مَيتًا ۚ كَذٰلِكَ تُخرَجونَ
[11] এবং যিনি আকাশ থেকে পানি বর্ষণ করেছেন পরিমিত। আতঃপর তদ্দ্বারা আমি মৃত ভূ-ভাগকে পুনরুজ্জীবিত করেছি। তোমরা এমনিভাবে উত্থিত হবে।
[11] And Who sends down water (rain) from the sky in due measure. then We revive a dead land therewith, and even so you will be brought forth (from the gaves),
[12] وَالَّذى خَلَقَ الأَزوٰجَ كُلَّها وَجَعَلَ لَكُم مِنَ الفُلكِ وَالأَنعٰمِ ما تَركَبونَ
[12] এবং যিনি সবকিছুর যুগল সৃষ্টি করেছেন এবং নৌকা ও চতুস্পদ জন্তুকে তোমাদের জন্যে যানবাহনে পরিণত করেছেন,
[12] And Who has created all the pairs and has appointed for you ships and cattle on which you ride;
[13] لِتَستَوۥا عَلىٰ ظُهورِهِ ثُمَّ تَذكُروا نِعمَةَ رَبِّكُم إِذَا استَوَيتُم عَلَيهِ وَتَقولوا سُبحٰنَ الَّذى سَخَّرَ لَنا هٰذا وَما كُنّا لَهُ مُقرِنينَ
[13] যাতে তোমরা তাদের পিঠের উপর আরোহণ কর। অতঃপর তোমাদের পালনকর্তার নেয়ামত স্মরণ কর এবং বল পবিত্র তিনি, যিনি এদেরকে আমাদের বশীভূত করে দিয়েছেন এবং আমরা এদেরকে বশীভূত করতে সক্ষম ছিলাম না।
[13] In order that you may mount on their backs, and then may remember the Favour of your Lord when you mount thereon, and say: "Glory to Him who has subjected this to us, and we could never have it (by our efforts)."
[14] وَإِنّا إِلىٰ رَبِّنا لَمُنقَلِبونَ
[14] আমরা অবশ্যই আমাদের পালনকর্তার দিকে ফিরে যাব।
[14] And verily, to Our Lord we indeed are to return!
[15] وَجَعَلوا لَهُ مِن عِبادِهِ جُزءًا ۚ إِنَّ الإِنسٰنَ لَكَفورٌ مُبينٌ
[15] তারা আল্লাহর বান্দাদের মধ্য থেকে আল্লাহর অংশ স্থির করেছে। বাস্তবিক মানুষ স্পষ্ট অকৃতজ্ঞ।
[15] Yet they assign to some of His slaves a share with Him (by pretending that He has children, and considering them as equals or co-partners in worship with Him). Verily, man is indeed a manifest ingrate!
[16] أَمِ اتَّخَذَ مِمّا يَخلُقُ بَناتٍ وَأَصفىٰكُم بِالبَنينَ
[16] তিনি কি তাঁর সৃষ্টি থেকে কন্যা সন্তান গ্রহণ করেছেন এবং তোমাদের জন্য মনোনীত করেছেন পুত্র সন্তান?
[16] Or has He taken daughters out of what He has created, and He has selected for you sons?
[17] وَإِذا بُشِّرَ أَحَدُهُم بِما ضَرَبَ لِلرَّحمٰنِ مَثَلًا ظَلَّ وَجهُهُ مُسوَدًّا وَهُوَ كَظيمٌ
[17] তারা রহমান আল্লাহর জন্যে যে, কন্যা-সন্তান বর্ণনা করে, যখন তাদের কাউকে তার সংবাদ দেয়া হয়, তখন তার মুখমন্ডল কালো হয়ে যায় এবং ভীষণ মনস্তাপ ভোগ করে।
[17] And if one of them is informed of the news of (the birth of a girl) that which he set forth as a parable to the Most Gracious (Allâh) (i.e. of a girl), his face becomes dark, gloomy, and he is filled with grief!
[18] أَوَمَن يُنَشَّؤُا۟ فِى الحِليَةِ وَهُوَ فِى الخِصامِ غَيرُ مُبينٍ
[18] তারা কি এমন ব্যক্তিকে আল্লাহর জন্যে বর্ণনা করে, যে অলংকারে লালিত-পালিত হয় এবং বিতর্কে কথা বলতে অক্ষম।
[18] (Like they then for Allâh) a creature who is brought up in adornments (wearing silk and gold ornaments, i.e. women), and who in dispute cannot make herself clear?
[19] وَجَعَلُوا المَلٰئِكَةَ الَّذينَ هُم عِبٰدُ الرَّحمٰنِ إِنٰثًا ۚ أَشَهِدوا خَلقَهُم ۚ سَتُكتَبُ شَهٰدَتُهُم وَيُسـَٔلونَ
[19] তারা নারী স্থির করে ফেরেশতাগণকে, যারা আল্লাহর বান্দা। তারা কি তাদের সৃষ্টি প্রত্যক্ষ করেছে? এখন তাদের দাবী লিপিবদ্ধ করা হবে এবং তাদের জিজ্ঞাসা করা হবে।
[19] And they make the angels who themselves are slaves of the Most Gracious (Allâh) females. Did they witness their creation? Their testimony will be recorded, and they will be questioned!
[20] وَقالوا لَو شاءَ الرَّحمٰنُ ما عَبَدنٰهُم ۗ ما لَهُم بِذٰلِكَ مِن عِلمٍ ۖ إِن هُم إِلّا يَخرُصونَ
[20] তারা বলে, রহমান আল্লাহ ইচছা না করলে আমরা ওদের পূজা করতাম না। এ বিষয়ে তারা কিছুই জানে না। তারা কেবল অনুমানে কথা বলে।
[20] And they said: "If it had been the Will of the Most Gracious (Allâh), we should not have worshipped them (false deities)." They have no knowledge whatsoever of that. They do nothing but lie!
[21] أَم ءاتَينٰهُم كِتٰبًا مِن قَبلِهِ فَهُم بِهِ مُستَمسِكونَ
[21] আমি কি তাদেরকে কোরআনের পূর্বে কোন কিতাব দিয়েছি, অতঃপর তারা তাকে আঁকড়ে রেখেছে?
[21] Or have We given them any Book before this (the Qur'ân), to which they are holding fast?
[22] بَل قالوا إِنّا وَجَدنا ءاباءَنا عَلىٰ أُمَّةٍ وَإِنّا عَلىٰ ءاثٰرِهِم مُهتَدونَ
[22] বরং তারা বলে, আমরা আমাদের পূর্বপুরুষদেরকে পেয়েছি এক পথের পথিক এবং আমরা তাদেরই পদাংক অনুসরণ করে পথপ্রাপ্ত।
[22] Nay! They say: "We found our fathers following a certain way and religion, and we guide ourselves by their footsteps."
[23] وَكَذٰلِكَ ما أَرسَلنا مِن قَبلِكَ فى قَريَةٍ مِن نَذيرٍ إِلّا قالَ مُترَفوها إِنّا وَجَدنا ءاباءَنا عَلىٰ أُمَّةٍ وَإِنّا عَلىٰ ءاثٰرِهِم مُقتَدونَ
[23] এমনিভাবে আপনার পূর্বে আমি যখন কোন জনপদে কোন সতর্ককারী প্রেরণ করেছি, তখনই তাদের বিত্তশালীরা বলেছে, আমরা আমাদের পূর্বপুরুষদেরকে পেয়েছি এক পথের পথিক এবং আমরা তাদেরই পদাংক অনুসরণ করে চলছি।
[23] And similarly, We sent not a warner before you (O Muhammad SAW) to any town (people) but the luxurious ones among them said: "We found our fathers following a certain way and religion, and we will indeed follow their footsteps."
[24] ۞ قٰلَ أَوَلَو جِئتُكُم بِأَهدىٰ مِمّا وَجَدتُم عَلَيهِ ءاباءَكُم ۖ قالوا إِنّا بِما أُرسِلتُم بِهِ كٰفِرونَ
[24] সে বলত, তোমরা তোমাদের পূর্বপুরুষদেরকে যে বিষয়ের উপর পেয়েছ, আমি যদি তদপেক্ষা উত্তম বিষয় নিয়ে তোমাদের কাছে এসে থাকি, তবুও কি তোমরা তাই বলবে? তারা বলত তোমরা যে বিষয়সহ প্রেরিত হয়েছ, তা আমরা মানব না।
[24] (The warner) said: "Even if I bring you better guidance than that which you found your fathers following?" They said: "Verily, We disbelieve in that with which you have been sent."
[25] فَانتَقَمنا مِنهُم ۖ فَانظُر كَيفَ كانَ عٰقِبَةُ المُكَذِّبينَ
[25] অতঃপর আমি তাদের কাছ থেকে প্রতিশোধ নিয়েছি। অতএব দেখুন, মিথ্যারোপকারীদের পরিণাম কিরূপ হয়েছে।
[25] So We took revenge of them, then see what was the end of those who denied (Islâmic Monotheism).
[26] وَإِذ قالَ إِبرٰهيمُ لِأَبيهِ وَقَومِهِ إِنَّنى بَراءٌ مِمّا تَعبُدونَ
[26] যখন ইব্রাহীম তার পিতা ও সম্প্রদায়কে বলল, তোমরা যাদের পূজা কর, তাদের সাথে আমার কোন সম্পর্ক নেই।
[26] And (remember) when Ibrahîm (Abraham) said to his father and his people: "Verily, I am innocent of what you worship,
[27] إِلَّا الَّذى فَطَرَنى فَإِنَّهُ سَيَهدينِ
[27] তবে আমার সম্পর্ক তাঁর সাথে যিনি আমাকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন। অতএব, তিনিই আমাকে সৎপথ প্রদর্শন করবেন।
[27] "Except Him (i.e. but Allâh Alone I worship none) Who did create me, and verily, He will guide me."
[28] وَجَعَلَها كَلِمَةً باقِيَةً فى عَقِبِهِ لَعَلَّهُم يَرجِعونَ
[28] এ কথাটিকে সে অক্ষয় বাণীরূপে তার সন্তানদের মধ্যে রেখে গেছে, যাতে তারা আল্লাহর দিকেই আকৃষ্ট থাকে।
[28] And he made it [i.e. Lâ ilâha ill-allâh (none has the right to be worshipped but Allâh Alone)] a Word lasting among his offspring, that they may turn back (i.e. to repent to Allâh or receive admonition).
[29] بَل مَتَّعتُ هٰؤُلاءِ وَءاباءَهُم حَتّىٰ جاءَهُمُ الحَقُّ وَرَسولٌ مُبينٌ
[29] পরন্ত আমিই এদেরকে ও এদের পূর্বপুরুষদেরকে জীবনোপভোগ করতে দিয়েছি, অবশেষে তাদের কাছে সত্য ও স্পষ্ট বর্ণনাকারী রসূল আগমন করেছে।
[29] Nay, but I gave (the good things of this life) to these (polytheists) and their fathers to enjoy, till there came to them the truth (the Qur'ân), and a Messenger (Muhammad SAW) making things clear.
[30] وَلَمّا جاءَهُمُ الحَقُّ قالوا هٰذا سِحرٌ وَإِنّا بِهِ كٰفِرونَ
[30] যখন সত্য তাদের কাছে আগমন করল, তখন তারা বলল, এটা যাদু, আমরা একে মানি না।
[30] And when the truth (this Qur'ân) came to them, they (the disbelievers in this Qur'ân) said: "This is magic, and we disbelieve therein."
[31] وَقالوا لَولا نُزِّلَ هٰذَا القُرءانُ عَلىٰ رَجُلٍ مِنَ القَريَتَينِ عَظيمٍ
[31] তারা বলে, কোরআন কেন দুই জনপদের কোন প্রধান ব্যক্তির উপর অবতীর্ণ হল না?
[31] And they say: "Why is not this Qur'ân sent down to some great man of the two towns (Makkah and Tâ'if)?"
[32] أَهُم يَقسِمونَ رَحمَتَ رَبِّكَ ۚ نَحنُ قَسَمنا بَينَهُم مَعيشَتَهُم فِى الحَيوٰةِ الدُّنيا ۚ وَرَفَعنا بَعضَهُم فَوقَ بَعضٍ دَرَجٰتٍ لِيَتَّخِذَ بَعضُهُم بَعضًا سُخرِيًّا ۗ وَرَحمَتُ رَبِّكَ خَيرٌ مِمّا يَجمَعونَ
[32] তারা কি আপনার পালনকর্তার রহমত বন্টন করে? আমি তাদের মধ্যে তাদের জীবিকা বন্টন করেছি পার্থিব জীবনে এবং একের মর্যাদাকে অপরের উপর উন্নীত করেছি, যাতে একে অপরকে সেবক রূপে গ্রহণ করে। তারা যা সঞ্চয় করে, আপনার পালনকর্তার রহমত তদপেক্ষা উত্তম।
[32] Is it they who would portion out the Mercy of your Lord? It is We Who portion out between them their livelihood in this world, and We raised some of them above others in ranks, so that some may employ others in their work. But the Mercy (Paradise) of your Lord (O Muhammad SAW) is better than the (wealth of this world) which they amass.
[33] وَلَولا أَن يَكونَ النّاسُ أُمَّةً وٰحِدَةً لَجَعَلنا لِمَن يَكفُرُ بِالرَّحمٰنِ لِبُيوتِهِم سُقُفًا مِن فِضَّةٍ وَمَعارِجَ عَلَيها يَظهَرونَ
[33] যদি সব মানুষের এক মতাবলম্বী হয়ে যাওয়ার আশংকা না থাকত, তবে যারা দয়াময় আল্লাহকে অস্বীকার করে আমি তাদেরকে দিতাম তাদের গৃহের জন্যে রৌপ্য নির্মিত ছাদ ও সিঁড়ি, যার উপর তারা চড়ত।
[33] And were it not that all mankind would have become of one community (all disbelievers, desiring worldly life only), We would have provided for those who disbelieve in the Most Gracious (Allâh), silver roofs for their houses, and elevators whereby they ascend,
[34] وَلِبُيوتِهِم أَبوٰبًا وَسُرُرًا عَلَيها يَتَّكِـٔونَ
[34] এবং তাদের গৃহের জন্যে দরজা দিতাম এবং পালংক দিতাম যাতে তারা হেলান দিয়ে বসত।
[34] And for their houses, doors (of silver), and thrones (of silver) on which they could recline,
[35] وَزُخرُفًا ۚ وَإِن كُلُّ ذٰلِكَ لَمّا مَتٰعُ الحَيوٰةِ الدُّنيا ۚ وَالءاخِرَةُ عِندَ رَبِّكَ لِلمُتَّقينَ
[35] এবং স্বর্ণনির্মিতও দিতাম। এগুলো সবই তো পার্থিব জীবনের ভোগ সামগ্রী মাত্র। আর পরকাল আপনার পালনকর্তার কাছে তাঁদের জন্যেই যারা ভয় করে।
[35] And adornments of gold. Yet all this (i.e. the roofs, doors, stairs, elevators, thrones of their houses) would have been nothing but an enjoyment of this world. And the Hereafter with your Lord is (only) for the Muttaqûn.
[36] وَمَن يَعشُ عَن ذِكرِ الرَّحمٰنِ نُقَيِّض لَهُ شَيطٰنًا فَهُوَ لَهُ قَرينٌ
[36] যে ব্যক্তি দয়াময় আল্লাহর স্মরণ থেকে চোখ ফিরিয়ে নেয়, আমি তার জন্যে এক শয়তান নিয়োজিত করে দেই, অতঃপর সে-ই হয় তার সঙ্গী।
[36] And whosoever turns away blindly from the remembrance of the Most Gracious (Allâh) (i.e. this Qur'ân and worship of Allâh), We appoint for him Shaitân (Satan devil) to be a Qarîn (a intimate companion) to him.
[37] وَإِنَّهُم لَيَصُدّونَهُم عَنِ السَّبيلِ وَيَحسَبونَ أَنَّهُم مُهتَدونَ
[37] শয়তানরাই মানুষকে সৎপথে বাধা দান করে, আর মানুষ মনে করে যে, তারা সৎপথে রয়েছে।
[37] And verily, they (Satans / devils) hinder them from the Path (of Allâh), but they think that they are guided aright!
[38] حَتّىٰ إِذا جاءَنا قالَ يٰلَيتَ بَينى وَبَينَكَ بُعدَ المَشرِقَينِ فَبِئسَ القَرينُ
[38] অবশেষে যখন সে আমার কাছে আসবে, তখন সে শয়তানকে বলবে, হায়, আমার ও তোমার মধ্যে যদি পূর্ব-পশ্চিমের দূরত্ব থাকত। কত হীন সঙ্গী সে।
[38] Till, when (such a one) comes to Us, he says [to his Qarîn (Satan / devil companion)] "Would that between me and you were the distance of the two easts (or the east and west)" a worst (type of) companion (indeed)!
[39] وَلَن يَنفَعَكُمُ اليَومَ إِذ ظَلَمتُم أَنَّكُم فِى العَذابِ مُشتَرِكونَ
[39] তোমরা যখন কুফর করছিলে, তখন তোমাদের আজকের আযাবে শরীক হওয়া কোন কাজে আসবে না।
[39] It will profit you not this Day (O you who turn away from Allâh's remembrance and His worship) as you did wrong, (and) that you will be sharers (you and your Qarîn) in the punishment.
[40] أَفَأَنتَ تُسمِعُ الصُّمَّ أَو تَهدِى العُمىَ وَمَن كانَ فى ضَلٰلٍ مُبينٍ
[40] আপনি কি বধিরকে শোনাতে পারবেন? অথবা যে অন্ধ ও যে স্পষ্ট পথ ভ্রষ্টতায় লিপ্ত, তাকে পথ প্রদর্শণ করতে পারবেন?
[40] Can you (O Muhammad SAW) make the deaf to hear, or can you guide the blind or him who is in manifest error?
[41] فَإِمّا نَذهَبَنَّ بِكَ فَإِنّا مِنهُم مُنتَقِمونَ
[41] অতঃপর আমি যদি আপনাকে নিয়ে যাই, তবু আমি তাদের কাছে থেকে প্রতিশোধ নেব।
[41] And even if We take you (O Muhammad SAW) away, We shall indeed take vengeance on them.
[42] أَو نُرِيَنَّكَ الَّذى وَعَدنٰهُم فَإِنّا عَلَيهِم مُقتَدِرونَ
[42] অথবা যদি আমি তাদেরকে যে আযাবের ওয়াদা দিয়েছি, তা আপনাকে দেখিয়ে দেই, তবু তাদের উপর আমার পূর্ণ ক্ষমতা রয়েছে।
[42] Or (if) We show you that wherewith We threaten them, then verily, We have perfect command over them.
[43] فَاستَمسِك بِالَّذى أوحِىَ إِلَيكَ ۖ إِنَّكَ عَلىٰ صِرٰطٍ مُستَقيمٍ
[43] অতএব, আপনার প্রতি যে ওহী নাযিল করা হয়, তা দৃঢ়ভাবে অবলম্বন করুন। নিঃসন্দেহে আপনি সরল পথে রয়েছেন।
[43] So hold you (O Muhammad SAW) fast to that which is revealed to you. Verily you are on the Straight Path.
[44] وَإِنَّهُ لَذِكرٌ لَكَ وَلِقَومِكَ ۖ وَسَوفَ تُسـَٔلونَ
[44] এটা আপনার ও আপনার সম্প্রদায়ের জন্যে উল্লেখিত থাকবে এবং শীঘ্রই আপনারা জিজ্ঞাসিত হবেন।
[44] And verily, this (the Qur'ân) is indeed a Reminder for you (O Muhammad SAW) and your people (Quraish people, or your followers), and you will be questioned (about it).
[45] وَسـَٔل مَن أَرسَلنا مِن قَبلِكَ مِن رُسُلِنا أَجَعَلنا مِن دونِ الرَّحمٰنِ ءالِهَةً يُعبَدونَ
[45] আপনার পূর্বে আমি যেসব রসূল প্রেরণ করেছি, তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞেস করুন, দয়াময় আল্লাহ ব্যতীত আমি কি কোন উপাস্য স্থির করেছিলাম এবাদতের জন্যে?
[45] And ask (O Muhammad SAW) those of Our Messengers whom We sent before you: "Did We ever appoint âlihah (gods) to be worshipped besides the Most Gracious (Allâh)?"
[46] وَلَقَد أَرسَلنا موسىٰ بِـٔايٰتِنا إِلىٰ فِرعَونَ وَمَلَإِي۟هِ فَقالَ إِنّى رَسولُ رَبِّ العٰلَمينَ
[46] আমি মূসাকে আমার নিদর্শনাবলী দিয়ে ফেরাউন ও তার পরিষদবর্গের কাছে প্রেরণ করেছিলাম, অতঃপর সে বলেছিল, আমি বিশ্ব পালনকর্তার রসূল।
[46] And indeed We did send Mûsa (Moses) with Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) to Fir'aun (Pharaoh) and his chiefs (inviting them to Allâh's religion of Islâm) He said: "Verily, I am a Messenger of the Lord of the 'Alamîn (mankind, jinn and all that exists)."
[47] فَلَمّا جاءَهُم بِـٔايٰتِنا إِذا هُم مِنها يَضحَكونَ
[47] অতঃপর সে যখন তাদের কাছে আমার নিদর্শনাবলী উপস্থাপন করল, তখন তারা হাস্যবিদ্রুপ করতে লাগল।
[47] But when he came to them with Our Ayât (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations) behold, they laughed at them.
[48] وَما نُريهِم مِن ءايَةٍ إِلّا هِىَ أَكبَرُ مِن أُختِها ۖ وَأَخَذنٰهُم بِالعَذابِ لَعَلَّهُم يَرجِعونَ
[48] আমি তাদেরকে যে নিদর্শনই দেখাতাম, তাই হত পূর্ববর্তী নিদর্শন অপেক্ষা বৃহৎ এবং আমি তাদেরকে শাস্তি দ্বারা পাকড়াও করলাম, যাতে তারা ফিরে আসে।
[48] And not an Ayâh (sign, etc.) We showed them but it was greater than its fellow, and We seized them with torment, in order that they might turn [from their polytheism to Allâh's religion (Islâmic Monotheism)].
[49] وَقالوا يٰأَيُّهَ السّاحِرُ ادعُ لَنا رَبَّكَ بِما عَهِدَ عِندَكَ إِنَّنا لَمُهتَدونَ
[49] তারা বলল, হে যাদুকর, তুমি আমাদের জন্যে তোমার পালনকর্তার কাছে সে বিষয় প্রার্থনা কর, যার ওয়াদা তিনি তোমাকে দিয়েছেন; আমরা অবশ্যই সৎপথ অবলম্বন করব।
[49] And they said [to Mûsa (Moses)]: "O you sorcerer! Invoke your Lord for us according to what He has covenanted with you. Verily, We shall guide ourselves (aright)."
[50] فَلَمّا كَشَفنا عَنهُمُ العَذابَ إِذا هُم يَنكُثونَ
[50] অতঃপর যখন আমি তাদের থেকে আযাব প্রত্যাহার করে নিলাম, তখনই তারা অঙ্গীকার ভঙ্গ করতে লাগলো।
[50] But when We removed the torment from them, behold, they broke their covenant (that they will believe if We remove the torment from them).
[51] وَنادىٰ فِرعَونُ فى قَومِهِ قالَ يٰقَومِ أَلَيسَ لى مُلكُ مِصرَ وَهٰذِهِ الأَنهٰرُ تَجرى مِن تَحتى ۖ أَفَلا تُبصِرونَ
[51] ফেরাউন তার সম্প্রদায়কে ডেকে বলল, হে আমার কওম, আমি কি মিসরের অধিপতি নই? এই নদী গুলো আমার নিম্নদেশে প্রবাহিত হয়, তোমরা কি দেখ না?
[51] And Fir'aun (Pharaoh) proclaimed among his people, (saying:) "O my people! Is not mine the dominion of Egypt, and these rivers flowing underneath me. See you not then?
[52] أَم أَنا۠ خَيرٌ مِن هٰذَا الَّذى هُوَ مَهينٌ وَلا يَكادُ يُبينُ
[52] আমি যে শ্রেষ্ট এ ব্যক্তি থেকে, যে নীচ এবং কথা বলতেও সক্ষম নয়।
[52] "Am I not better than this one [Mûsa (Moses)], who is despicable] and can scarcely express himself clearly?
[53] فَلَولا أُلقِىَ عَلَيهِ أَسوِرَةٌ مِن ذَهَبٍ أَو جاءَ مَعَهُ المَلٰئِكَةُ مُقتَرِنينَ
[53] তাকে কেন স্বর্ণবলয় পরিধান করানো হল না, অথবা কেন আসল না তার সঙ্গে ফেরেশতাগণ দল বেঁধে?
[53] "Why then are not golden bracelets bestowed on him, or angels sent along with him?"
[54] فَاستَخَفَّ قَومَهُ فَأَطاعوهُ ۚ إِنَّهُم كانوا قَومًا فٰسِقينَ
[54] অতঃপর সে তার সম্প্রদায়কে বোকা বানিয়ে দিল, ফলে তারা তার কথা মেনে নিল। নিশ্চয় তারা ছিল পাপাচারী সম্প্রদায়।
[54] Thus he [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] befooled (and misled) his people, and they obeyed him. Verily, they were ever a people who were Fâsiqûn (rebellious, disobedient to Allâh).
[55] فَلَمّا ءاسَفونَا انتَقَمنا مِنهُم فَأَغرَقنٰهُم أَجمَعينَ
[55] অতঃপর যখন আমাকে রাগাম্বিত করল তখন আমি তাদের কাছ থেকে প্রতিশোধ নিলাম এবং নিমজ্জত করলাম। তাদের সবাইকে।
[55] So when they angered Us, We punished them, and drowned them all.
[56] فَجَعَلنٰهُم سَلَفًا وَمَثَلًا لِلءاخِرينَ
[56] অতঃপর আমি তাদেরকে করে দিলাম অতীত লোক ও দৃষ্টান্ত পরবর্তীদের জন্যে।
[56] And We made them a precedent (as a lesson for those coming after them), and an example to later generations.
[57] ۞ وَلَمّا ضُرِبَ ابنُ مَريَمَ مَثَلًا إِذا قَومُكَ مِنهُ يَصِدّونَ
[57] যখনই মরিয়ম তনয়ের দৃষ্টান্ত বর্ণনা করা হল, তখনই আপনার সম্প্রদায় হঞ্জগোল শুরু করে দিল
[57] And when the son of Maryam (Mary) is quoted as an example [i.e. 'Īsā (Jesus) is worshipped like their idols), behold! Your people cry aloud (laugh out at the example).
[58] وَقالوا ءَأٰلِهَتُنا خَيرٌ أَم هُوَ ۚ ما ضَرَبوهُ لَكَ إِلّا جَدَلًا ۚ بَل هُم قَومٌ خَصِمونَ
[58] এবং বলল, আমাদের উপাস্যরা শ্রেষ্ঠ, না সে? তারা আপনার সামনে যে উদাহরণ উপস্থাপন করে তা কেবল বিতর্কের জন্যেই করে। বস্তুতঃ তারা হল এক বিতর্ককারী সম্প্রদায়।
[58] And say: "Are our âlihah (gods) better or is he ['Īsā (Jesus)]?" They quoted not the above example except for argument. Nay! But they are a quarrelsome people. [(See VV. 21:97-101)]
[59] إِن هُوَ إِلّا عَبدٌ أَنعَمنا عَلَيهِ وَجَعَلنٰهُ مَثَلًا لِبَنى إِسرٰءيلَ
[59] সে তো এক বান্দাই বটে আমি তার প্রতি অনুগ্রহ করেছি এবং তাকে করেছি বণী-ইসরাঈলের জন্যে আদর্শ।
[59] He ['Īsā (Jesus)] was not more than a slave. We granted Our Favour to him, and We made him an example for the Children of Israel (i.e. his creation without a father).
[60] وَلَو نَشاءُ لَجَعَلنا مِنكُم مَلٰئِكَةً فِى الأَرضِ يَخلُفونَ
[60] আমি ইচ্ছা করলে তোমাদের থেকে ফেরেশতা সৃষ্টি করতাম, যারা পৃথিবীতে একের পর এক বসবাস করত।
[60] And if it were Our Will, We would have [destroyed you (mankind) all, and] made angels to replace you on the earth. [Tafsir At-Tabarî].
[61] وَإِنَّهُ لَعِلمٌ لِلسّاعَةِ فَلا تَمتَرُنَّ بِها وَاتَّبِعونِ ۚ هٰذا صِرٰطٌ مُستَقيمٌ
[61] সুতরাং তা হল কেয়ামতের নিদর্শন। কাজেই তোমরা কেয়ামতে সন্দেহ করো না এবং আমার কথা মান। এটা এক সরল পথ।
[61] And he ['Īsā (Jesus), son of Maryam (Mary)] shall be a known sign for (the coming of) the Hour (Day of Resurrection) [i.e. 'Īsā's (Jesus) descent on the earth] . Therefore have no doubt concerning it (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). And follow Me (Allâh) (i.e. be obedient to Allâh and do what He orders you to do, O mankind)! This is the Straight Path (of Islâmic Monotheism, leading to Allâh and to His Paradise).
[62] وَلا يَصُدَّنَّكُمُ الشَّيطٰنُ ۖ إِنَّهُ لَكُم عَدُوٌّ مُبينٌ
[62] শয়তান যেন তোমাদেরকে নিবৃত্ত না করে। সে তোমাদের প্রকাশ্য শুত্রু।
[62] And let not Shaitân (Satan) hinder you (from the right religion, i.e. Islâmic Monotheism), Verily, he (Satan) to you is a plain enemy.
[63] وَلَمّا جاءَ عيسىٰ بِالبَيِّنٰتِ قالَ قَد جِئتُكُم بِالحِكمَةِ وَلِأُبَيِّنَ لَكُم بَعضَ الَّذى تَختَلِفونَ فيهِ ۖ فَاتَّقُوا اللَّهَ وَأَطيعونِ
[63] ঈসা যখন স্পষ্ট নিদর্শনসহ আগমন করল, তখন বলল, আমি তোমাদের কাছে প্রজ্ঞা নিয়ে এসেছি এবং তোমরা যে, কোন কোন বিষয়ে মতভেদ করছ তা ব্যক্ত করার জন্যে এসেছি, অতএব, তোমরা আল্লাহকে ভয় কর এবং আমার কথা মান।
[63] And when 'Īsā (Jesus) came with (Our) clear Proofs, he said: "I have come to you with Al-Hikmah (Prophethood), and in order to make clear to you some of the (points) in which you differ, Therefore fear Allâh and obey me,
[64] إِنَّ اللَّهَ هُوَ رَبّى وَرَبُّكُم فَاعبُدوهُ ۚ هٰذا صِرٰطٌ مُستَقيمٌ
[64] নিশ্চয় আল্লাহই আমার পালনকর্তা ও তোমাদের পালনকর্তা। অতএব, তাঁর এবাদত কর। এটা হল সরল পথ।
[64] "Verily, Allâh! He is my Lord (God) and your Lord (God). So worship Him (Alone). This is the (only) Straight Path (i.e. Allâh's religion of true Islâmic Monotheism)."
[65] فَاختَلَفَ الأَحزابُ مِن بَينِهِم ۖ فَوَيلٌ لِلَّذينَ ظَلَموا مِن عَذابِ يَومٍ أَليمٍ
[65] অতঃপর তাদের মধ্যে থেকে বিভিন্ন দল মতভেদ সৃষ্টি করল। সুতরাং যালেমদের জন্যে রয়েছে যন্ত্রণাদায়ক দিবসের আযাবের দুর্ভোগ।
[65] But the sects from among themselves differed. So woe to those who do wrong (by ascribing things to 'Īsā (Jesus) that are not true) from the torment of a painful Day (i.e. the Day of Resurrection)!
[66] هَل يَنظُرونَ إِلَّا السّاعَةَ أَن تَأتِيَهُم بَغتَةً وَهُم لا يَشعُرونَ
[66] তারা কেবল কেয়ামতেরই অপেক্ষা করছে যে, আকস্মিকভাবে তাদের কাছে এসে যাবে এবং তারা খবর ও রাখবে না।
[66] Do they only wait for the Hour that it shall come upon them suddenly, while they perceive not?
[67] الأَخِلّاءُ يَومَئِذٍ بَعضُهُم لِبَعضٍ عَدُوٌّ إِلَّا المُتَّقينَ
[67] বন্ধুবর্গ সেদিন একে অপরের শত্রু হবে, তবে খোদাভীরুরা নয়।
[67] Friends on that Day will be foes one to another except Al-Muttaqûn (pious - see V.2:2)
[68] يٰعِبادِ لا خَوفٌ عَلَيكُمُ اليَومَ وَلا أَنتُم تَحزَنونَ
[68] হে আমার বান্দাগণ, তোমাদের আজ কোন ভয় নেই এবং তোমরা দুঃখিতও হবে না।
[68] It will be said to the true believers of Islâmic Monotheism): My worshippers! No fear shall be on you this Day, nor shall you grieve,
[69] الَّذينَ ءامَنوا بِـٔايٰتِنا وَكانوا مُسلِمينَ
[69] তোমরা আমার আয়াতসমূহে বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করেছিলে এবং তোমরা আজ্ঞাবহ ছিলে।
[69] (You) who believed in Our Ayât (proofs, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc.) and were Muslims (i.e. who submit totally to Allâh's Will, and believe in the Oneness of Allâh - Islâmic Monotheism)
[70] ادخُلُوا الجَنَّةَ أَنتُم وَأَزوٰجُكُم تُحبَرونَ
[70] জান্নাতের প্রবেশ কর তোমরা এবং তোমাদের বিবিগণ সানন্দে।
[70] Enter Paradise, you and your wives, in happiness.
[71] يُطافُ عَلَيهِم بِصِحافٍ مِن ذَهَبٍ وَأَكوابٍ ۖ وَفيها ما تَشتَهيهِ الأَنفُسُ وَتَلَذُّ الأَعيُنُ ۖ وَأَنتُم فيها خٰلِدونَ
[71] তাদের কাছে পরিবেশন করা হবে স্বর্ণের থালা ও পানপাত্র এবং তথায় রয়েছে মনে যা চায় এবং নয়ন যাতে তৃপ্ত হয়। তোমরা তথায় চিরকাল অবস্থান করবে।
[71] Trays of gold and cups will be passed round them, (there will be) therein all that the inner-selves could desire, and all that the eyes could delight in, and you will abide therein forever.
[72] وَتِلكَ الجَنَّةُ الَّتى أورِثتُموها بِما كُنتُم تَعمَلونَ
[72] এই যে, জান্নাতের উত্তরাধিকারী তোমরা হয়েছ, এটা তোমাদের কর্মের ফল।
[72] This is the Paradise which you have been made to inherit because of your deeds which you used to do (in the life of the world).
[73] لَكُم فيها فٰكِهَةٌ كَثيرَةٌ مِنها تَأكُلونَ
[73] তথায় তোমাদের জন্যে আছে প্রচুর ফল-মূল, তা থেকে তোমরা আহার করবে।
[73] Therein for you will be fruits in plenty, of which you will eat (as you desire).
[74] إِنَّ المُجرِمينَ فى عَذابِ جَهَنَّمَ خٰلِدونَ
[74] নিশ্চয় অপরাধীরা জাহান্নামের আযাবে চিরকাল থাকবে।
[74] Verily, the Mujrimûn (criminals, sinners, disbelievers) will be in the torment of Hell to abide therein forever.
[75] لا يُفَتَّرُ عَنهُم وَهُم فيهِ مُبلِسونَ
[75] তাদের থেকে আযাব লাঘব করা হবে না এবং তারা তাতেই থাকবে হতাশ হয়ে।
[75] (The torment) will not be lightened for them, and they will be plunged into destruction with deep regrets, sorrows and in despair therein.
[76] وَما ظَلَمنٰهُم وَلٰكِن كانوا هُمُ الظّٰلِمينَ
[76] আমি তাদের প্রতি জুলুম করিনি; কিন্তু তারাই ছিল জালেম।
[76] We wronged them not, but they were the Zâlimûn (polytheists, wrong-doers).
[77] وَنادَوا يٰمٰلِكُ لِيَقضِ عَلَينا رَبُّكَ ۖ قالَ إِنَّكُم مٰكِثونَ
[77] তারা ডেকে বলবে, হে মালেক, পালনকর্তা আমাদের কিসসাই শেষ করে দিন। সে বলবে, নিশ্চয় তোমরা চিরকাল থাকবে।
[77] And they will cry: "O Malik (Keeper of Hell)! Let your Lord make an end of us." He will say: "Verily you shall abide forever."
[78] لَقَد جِئنٰكُم بِالحَقِّ وَلٰكِنَّ أَكثَرَكُم لِلحَقِّ كٰرِهونَ
[78] আমি তোমাদের কাছে সত্যধর্ম পৌঁছিয়েছি; কিন্তু তোমাদের অধিকাংশই সত্যধর্মে নিস্পৃহ!
[78] Indeed We have brought the truth (Muhammad SAW with the Qur'ân), to you, but most of you have a hatred for the truth.
[79] أَم أَبرَموا أَمرًا فَإِنّا مُبرِمونَ
[79] তারা কি কোন ব্যবস্থা চুড়ান্ত করেছে? তাহলে আমিও এক ব্যবস্থা চুড়ান্ত করেছি।
[79] Or have they plotted some plan? Then We too are planning.
[80] أَم يَحسَبونَ أَنّا لا نَسمَعُ سِرَّهُم وَنَجوىٰهُم ۚ بَلىٰ وَرُسُلُنا لَدَيهِم يَكتُبونَ
[80] তারা কি মনে করে যে, আমি তাদের গোপন বিষয় ও গোপন পরামর্শ শুনি না? হঁ্যা, শুনি। আমার ফেরেশতাগণ তাদের নিকটে থেকে লিপিবদ্ধ করে।
[80] Or do they think that We hear not their secrets and their private counsel? (Yes We do) and Our Messengers (appointed angels in charge of mankind) are by them, to record.
[81] قُل إِن كانَ لِلرَّحمٰنِ وَلَدٌ فَأَنا۠ أَوَّلُ العٰبِدينَ
[81] বলুন, দয়াময় আল্লাহর কোন সন্তান থাকলে আমি সর্ব প্রথম তার এবাদত করব।
[81] Say (O Muhammad SAW): "If the Most Gracious (Allâh) had a son (or children as you pretend), then I am the first of Allâh's worshippers [who deny and refute this claim of yours (and the first to believe in Allâh Alone and testify that He has no children)]." [Tafsir At-Tabarî].
[82] سُبحٰنَ رَبِّ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضِ رَبِّ العَرشِ عَمّا يَصِفونَ
[82] তারা যা বর্ণনা করে, তা থেকে নভোমন্ডল ও ভূমন্ডলের পালনকর্তা, আরশের পালনকর্তা পবিত্র।
[82] Glorified is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, the Lord of the Throne! Exalted is He from all that they ascribe (to Him).
[83] فَذَرهُم يَخوضوا وَيَلعَبوا حَتّىٰ يُلٰقوا يَومَهُمُ الَّذى يوعَدونَ
[83] অতএব, তাদেরকে বাকচাতুরী ও ক্রীড়া-কৌতুক করতে দিন সেই দিবসের সাক্ষাত পর্যন্ত, যার ওয়াদা তাদেরকে দেয়া হয়।
[83] So leave them (alone) to speak nonsense and play until they meet the Day of theirs, which they have been promised.
[84] وَهُوَ الَّذى فِى السَّماءِ إِلٰهٌ وَفِى الأَرضِ إِلٰهٌ ۚ وَهُوَ الحَكيمُ العَليمُ
[84] তিনিই উপাস্য নভোমন্ডলে এবং তিনিই উপাস্য ভুমন্ডলে। তিনি প্রজ্ঞাময়, সর্বজ্ঞ,
[84] It is He (Allâh) Who is the only Ilâh (God to be worshipped) in the heaven and the only Ilâh (God to be worshipped) on the earth. And He is the All-Wise, the All-Knower.
[85] وَتَبارَكَ الَّذى لَهُ مُلكُ السَّمٰوٰتِ وَالأَرضِ وَما بَينَهُما وَعِندَهُ عِلمُ السّاعَةِ وَإِلَيهِ تُرجَعونَ
[85] বরকতময় তিনিই, নভোমন্ডল, ভূমন্ডল ও এতদুভয়ের মধ্যবর্তী সবকিছু যার। তাঁরই কাছে আছে কেয়ামতের জ্ঞান এবং তাঁরই দিকে তোমরা প্রত্যাবর্তিত হবে।
[85] And Blessed is He to Whom belongs the kingdom of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, and with Whom is the knowledge of the Hour, and to Whom you (all) will be returned.
[86] وَلا يَملِكُ الَّذينَ يَدعونَ مِن دونِهِ الشَّفٰعَةَ إِلّا مَن شَهِدَ بِالحَقِّ وَهُم يَعلَمونَ
[86] তিনি ব্যতীত তারা যাদের পুজা করে, তারা সুপারিশের অধিকারী হবে না, তবে যারা সত্য স্বীকার করত ও বিশ্বাস করত।
[86] And those whom they invoke instead of Him have no power of intercession — except for those who bear witness to the truth knowingly (i.e. believed in the Oneness of Allâh, and obeyed His Orders), and they know (the facts about the Oneness of Allâh)
[87] وَلَئِن سَأَلتَهُم مَن خَلَقَهُم لَيَقولُنَّ اللَّهُ ۖ فَأَنّىٰ يُؤفَكونَ
[87] যদি আপনি তাদেরকে জিজ্ঞাসা করেন, কে তাদেরকে সৃষ্টি করেছেন, তবে অবশ্যই তারা বলবে, আল্লাহ, অতঃপর তারা কোথায় ফিরে যাচ্ছে ?
[87] And if you ask them who created them, they will surely say: "Allâh". How then are they turned away (from the worship of Allâh, Who created them)?
[88] وَقيلِهِ يٰرَبِّ إِنَّ هٰؤُلاءِ قَومٌ لا يُؤمِنونَ
[88] রসূলের এই উক্তির কসম, হে আমার পালনকর্তা, এ সম্প্রদায় তো বিশ্বাস স্থাপন করে না।
[88] (And Allâh has knowledge) of (Prophet Muhammad's) saying: "O my Lord! Verily, these are a people who believe not!"
